This guide covers Cutflow's credit system, credit pack pricing, model-by-model cost calculations, and saving tips.
Overview
Cutflow uses a credit-based billing system. You purchase credit packs, and credits are deducted each time you generate AI images or videos based on the selected model. Credits never expire, and unused credits remain in your account indefinitely.

Credit Charge Timing
The timing of credit charges varies by task type:

Important: Credits are not charged for failed video generation or Character Sheet generation. Image generation uses pre-charging, so credits are automatically refunded if generation fails.

Credits can be purchased in 3 packs. Larger packs offer a lower cost per credit.

Credit Saving Tips
1. Test with Fast Models First
Test prompts and composition with Flux 2 Flash (1cr/image) for quick iteration, then generate the final image with a higher model like Flux 2 Pro (5cr/image) once you find a prompt you like.
Savings: Test 4 images (4cr) + final 1 image (5cr) = 9cr vs. starting with a higher model for 4 images (20cr)
2. Thoroughly Review at the Image Stage
Only generate video when you are happy with the keyframe. Keyframe image generation (1-8cr) is much cheaper than video generation (12-40cr+), so verifying composition, character appearance, and mood thoroughly at the image stage before generating video reduces unnecessary video generation costs.
3. Start with Shorter Durations
Longer video durations apply a higher Duration Multiplier, which significantly increases credit costs. Check results with short durations (4-6 seconds) first, then regenerate at the desired length only if necessary.
4. Actively Use AI Chat
AI chat is free. Rather than writing prompts yourself, asking the AI for help can quickly produce better prompts, reducing the number of regenerations needed.
5. Generate Character Sheets Carefully
Character Sheet generation costs 10cr. Entering accurate appearance descriptions and reference images during character registration reduces the number of sheet regenerations needed.
6. Purchase Larger Packs
The Studio pack ($80/2,400cr) costs $0.033 per credit, which is 34% cheaper than the Starter pack ($10/200cr) at $0.050.
Checking Credit Balance
You can check your current credit balance in real time at the following locations:
- Editor top bar: The credit balance is always displayed in the navigation bar.
- Before generation: The estimated credit cost is shown before image or video generation.
- Insufficient credits notification: When the balance is insufficient, generation is blocked and a credit recharge notification is displayed.

Payments are securely processed through the Lemon Squeezy platform.
Taxes
Lemon Squeezy, as the Merchant of Record (MoR), automatically calculates VAT/taxes. Local taxes may be added to the displayed price.
Refunds
Refund requests for unused credits can be made within 7 days of purchase.
FAQ
Q: Do credits have an expiration date?
No. Purchased credits never expire and remain in your account until used.
Q: What happens when my credit balance is insufficient?
When the balance is lower than the credits required for generation, the generate button is disabled and a credit recharge notification is displayed. Your in-progress projects and existing assets are not affected.
Q: Is there a subscription (monthly) plan?
Currently, only credit pack purchases are supported. Monthly/annual subscription plans are planned for the future.
Q: Can I view my credit usage history?
Credit usage history viewing is planned for a future update.
